«Mondkalender» is the german word for moon calendar. It shows the moon phases over the whole year of 2018. The image of the moon is divided into 12 pieces, one for each month, which are then divided again to represent the days. The brightness of the texture represents the portion of the moon's surface that is lit on the respective day. The lighter the texture, the larger the portion. The principal phases, namely full moon and new moon, are indicated in more detail by the date of their occurrence.
